Deanna Enold

Obituary of Deanna Jean Enold

Deanna departed from this life on October 5. Born on Dec. 5, 1942 and raised in New Philadelphia, she lived in North Canton most of her adult life.  Deanna enjoyed her art, gardening and playing Scrabble.  After raising her daughters, she found joy in volunteering particularly serving as a docent for the First Ladies Library in Canton. It truly brought together her creative side, coming up with the appropriate period dress to “perform” as First Lady Lucy Hayes.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Dwight Enold and parents Edna and John Wesley Ickes. She is survived by her two loving daughters Gwen (Keith) Goss of Lancaster, PA and Valerie (Brett) Wolford of Green, and her grandchildren Eric and Kaylin Wolford and step-grandchildren Brandon and Sheryna Goss.  She is also survived by her siblings Rachel Capozella (Dayne) Thomas of Dover, Emily (Tom) Schurr of Copley, Rosie (Marty) White of Stafford, Virginia, and John Ickes of New Philadelphia, and brother-in-law Ernest (Marty) Enold of Berea. Aunt Dede or Aunt Deanna is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to loving support and kindness from the staff at St. Luke’s in North Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Green. Private Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. The family will receive friends Monday, 4 to 6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. (entrance off of Steese Rd.) Uniontown, Ohio 44685. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association. (Anthony, City of Green Chapel, 330-899-9790)
