Obituary of Rita Marie Haag

Rita M. Haag, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2015. Rita was born on January 3, 1926 to Anthony and Esther (Kiefer) Haas and had been a lifelong resident of Akron, OH. Rita was married to Fred W. Haag for 65 years before he passed away on April 26, 2014. She was a charter member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3383. Rita loved spending time with her family, relatives, and neighbors. Rita leaves behind her loving family: Rose (Dan) Maas, Barb (Rusty) Wilhelm, Jackie (Richard) Malone, Tom (Bobbi) Haag, Toni (Danny) Maple and Marianne (Keith) Johnson. She also leaves all her cherished Grandchildren: Mike (Charlene) Maas, Michele (Tom) Dolensky, Jodi (Kevin) Fuller, Molly (Shawn) Carlson, Kate Malone, Brandon (Missy) and Matthew Haag, Jon and Adam (Kristen) Maple, Jeff Johnson, Amanda (Chris) Baker and Missy Johnson. Great Grandchildren: Freddy, David, Tommy, Joe, Leeann, Corey, Blake, Jordynn, Dominic, Christian and Logan. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and her special niece Bonnie Wine. She was preceded in death by Husband Fred W. Haag, her parents Anthony and Esther Haas, her brother Ralph (Willie) Haas and Great Grandson Anthony. The family would like to thank St. Luke Lutheran Community Center and Crossroads Hospice for the care of our parents. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 15 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319.
