Obituary of Joseph Gene Warrington
Joseph Gene Warrington (Joe) of Phoenix, AZ passed away on April 25, 2014 at age 83 after a long battle with pulmonary disease. He was born on October 23, 1930 in Hopedale, OH the son of the late John (Jack) Warrington Sr. and Pearl (Drabick) Warrington. Joe was formerly from Northampton Township, OH.
Joe worked for the Ford Motor Stamping Plant in Walton Hills for 30 years and retired in 1984. After retiring he moved to Phoenix, AZ to enjoy the warmer weather. He enjoyed raising the biggest and prettiest mums in the fall. He liked country music, enjoyed being with family and had a love of animals. He served in the Army and the reserves; he was also a member of the American Legion Post 62 in Peoria, AZ. He was a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Mary E. (Doutrich) Warrington; daughters Tonya (Gary) Blaney of Cuyahoga Falls, Robin Warrington of Akron, OH, JoAnn Warrington of Christiansburg, VA, & Belinda (Dave) Fremmer of Georgetown, TX; Granddaughter Beth (Tom) Jones; Great-Grandchildren Myrna and Micheal Jones, Brother John (Jack) Warrington, Jr of Akron, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Genevieve Webb.
The family will receive friends TODAY, from 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd. St. one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
