Obituary of Ronald Carlisle Hagans

Ronald Carlisle Hagans, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 05, 2019 with his daughter by his side.

Born on January 29, 1923 to the late Carl & Jessie Hagans, Ron was a lifelong area resident. Ron always loved movies and while growing up in Kenmore, he would spend his weekends at the Rialto Theatre in the projection booth. He left high school after the 9th grade to join the war effort, serving in the US Army during WWII. A bit of an eccentric, Ron had his own style and way of being in the world. He was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, photography, and metal work. Ron collected, restored and sold antiques. A quiet and reserved man, Ron's confidence allowed him to be himself in a world that demands conformity.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Eloise; and twin sisters and husbands Geneva & Ed Lightner and Genese & Orin McDowell. He is survived by his beloved daughter Susan Kay Kilbourne; granddaughter Jennifer Lee (Robert) Kohler and Grandson David William (Andrea) Kilbourne; great-grandchildren Trent & Harrison Kohler and Adelaide & Reid Kilbourne; and many other loved ones and friends.

The family is grateful to the nurses and staff of Barberton Manor Care and the Heartland Hospice team for their love and support.
