Obituary of William Raymond Remmy
On November 14, our Dad, William Raymond Remmy joined our Mom in Heaven. He fought bravely to spend more time with his friends and family, but this time his will was not enough to overcome his failing body.
He had the courage to face that his life would be shortened. He sought treatment and hosted his own wake where he was surrounded by friends both old and new, good food and great memories of a life well lived.
We would like to thank the brave members of the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Dept., the wonderful staff of Cleveland Clinic Akron General Floor 5400, the MICU, the Emergency Room and Falls Village Rehab. Center. Our Dad fought for 34 days to leave the hospital, two weeks to prepare to return to his home and be around his family, neighbors and friends on his own terms.
He was proud to be a Babcock and Wilcox Retiree and a retired Boilermaker. He loved our Mother Annie without end. He will be dearly missed.
He leaves daughters and sons-in-law, Liz and Kevin Mayer and Jennifer and Rick Whelan; grandchildren, Johnny, Tori, Allison and Amanda; and brothers, Abe, Charlie and Mike. Our Dad joins his parents, Albert and Marian Remmy; and his wife of 49 years, Anna Mae (Savage) Remmy.
Good night Dad, rest easy. We love you.
