My name is Tim Munn, my father Harlan who is 90 was the former basketball coach for Victor Central (1960's and 70's), a small school in the Finger Lakes located in western New York state. Craig was a player that Dad spoke very highly of and told Craig Norton stories to his other players throughout the years. Dad always said "What Craig lacked in size and talent he always made up in determination..he was a fierce competitor." In the 60's I was a little ball boy for Dad's team..I remember Craig, who wore glasses and well muscled wore the number 34 for home and 35 on the road. Craig was a starter for Dad, averaged double digits in rebounds and points...to this day Dad's standard for toughness was Craig Norton.
I also can recall my father taking me to Victor football games and he would single out for me to watch Craig block and tackle and then with a smile say "That how it's done."
His passing stirs up many memories of my youth and reminds us that our time on earth passes by so quickly. For the family of Craig Norton I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and may the many fond memories of his life be passed on throughout the generations.
