Obituary of Leonard Falcone
An amazing man, Leonard Falcone, left this earth and went to his forever home on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at the age of 86.
Leonard was a proud husband to MaryJane for the last 60 years; father to Len (Denise) and Tony; grandfather to Tara (Codi) and Brandon (Justine); and a special great-grandfather to his best little buddy, Jaxon; and furry friend, Gucci. He was also a loving brother to Mary Weiland (Lee) and Rose Marie Wright (Terry); as well as a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Leonard was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Teresa Falcone; sister, Lucy Miller; and brother, Louis Falcone.
He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, taught at Akron Public Schools for 35 years, and was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish. His philanthropic activities included leadership positions in: the Italian American Professional Businessman’s Club, the Sons of Italy, and the North Akron Board of Trade. His passion for his heritage led him to be an instrumental part of the Akron Columbus Memorial Park Renovation.
Leonard will be forever celebrated for the life lessons he shared with all he knew. Some of our favorites are:

Leonard’s family will welcome friends Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown, OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds. in Green, entrance off Steese Rd.) where a Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by the Sons of Italy. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Italian American Professional & Businessmen's Club, IAPBC Scholarship Fund c/o Akron Community Foundation, 345 W. Cedar St., Akron OH 44307.
