Obituary of Lynn Hicks
Lynn Hicks, 36, of Green Ohio passed away suddenly from heart complications on October 10, 2018.
She was born and raised in Akron Ohio. As a class of 2000 High School graduate from Mogadore , she went on to earn a BS in Business from Kent State (taking a class at The University of Akron where she met her husband), BS in Nursing from The University of Akron and a Masters in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She truly cared for her patients at Summa Health Systems and at the Stark Woman's Center. Known as Mother Howard in grade school, she grew up to become one of the world's best cooks, artists, nurses, companions, wife and above all else one of the best mothers in history. She loved her daughters so much. As her father and father in law before her, the good definitely die young. Her beautiful long red hair and loving heart will never be forgotten.
Preceded in death by her father, Gene Howard and father in law Douglas R. Hicks; survived by husband of 11 years, Douglas J., daughters Claire, Kate and Kara; sister Beth (Brian) and their children John and Addison; mother, Donna Howard; grandmother Betty Horner; mother in law Andrea Hicks; and many aunts, uncles, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 14 from 3-6PM at the Greensburg United Methodist Church, 2161 Greensburg Road in Green. A funeral service will be begin at 6:00PM, immediately following the calling hours, Pastor Don Kelley officiating.
