Obituary of Norman Brady Wilson

Norman Brady Wilson, age 83, of Akron, passed away August 12, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born November 20, 1934 in Akron to the late William and Jessie Wilson. He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Shindelar. Most importantly he loved his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Norman is survived by his wife Barbara of 60 years; son Michael Wilson; daughters Debra (Michael) Lott and Terry Wilson; grandchildren Candace, Michael (Benjamin), MacKenzie (Joseph) and Bradley (Amanda); great grandchildren Ryleigh, Kamden, Brooklynn and Maverick.
Norman took deep pride in his home and was a lifetime resident of Firestone Park. He was notorious for keeping a meticulous lawn and clean car. He enjoyed attending church and Sunday school and was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple since 1964. He retired from the printing industry after 45 years with a very strong work ethic. He continued to work part-time for Akron General Health & Wellness at the Montrose and Green locations after retirement until he was forced to stop due to his illness.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
