Obituary of Patricia Therese Huddleston

Patricia Therese Dean Huddleston, 88, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at her home. 

She was born in1930 in Calumet City, Ill. to Floyd and Grace Dean. She attended Bishop Noll High School in Hammond, Ind. and St. Mary's University, South Bend, Ind., graduating in 1953 with a B.S. in Nursing. She married Robert Stephen Huddleston on June 23, 1953, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1973. After his death, she worked as an RN for Akron General Hospital until she retired in 1997. 

Patricia was the center of a large and loving family, including her eight children and spouses: Patricia Huddleston, Ann (m. Ed Rhodes), Bob Huddleston, Jean (m. Kevin Kessinger), Joan Huddleston, Mary Huddleston, Therese (m. Gonzalo Diago), Julie (m. Martin Simpson). She nurtured and adored her ten grandchildren, Ashley, Erin, Emily, Nick, Sara, Leslie, Joshua, Sean, Gonzalo and Vincent; and her six great grandchildren, Max, Cooper, Gracie, Journee, Emrie and Adam. 

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Anthony Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Pat served her parish community at St. Francis de Sales as a lector and a Eucharistic minister. 

In lieu of flowers, we request contributions to the Patricia Dean Huddleston Memorial Scholarship, St. Francis de Sales Parish School. Checks made out to St. Francis de Sales Parish, Huddleston Memorial Scholarship in memo line (St. Francis de Sales Parish 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319). Mass to celebrate Pat's life will be on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Parish 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319.
