Obituary of Carolyn Gay Aumont

Carolyn Gay Aumont (Pettibone), age 83, went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2018.

Family was always so important to Carolyn.  She was born in 1935 in  Ashtabula, Ohio to Dr. Frank and Alice Pettibone.  She was preceded in death by her older brother Arthur Pettibone.  She is survived by her younger brother Roger Pettibone, her children Mark Aumont (Sharon) and Laura Sattler (David), grandchildren Merrily Kallio (Jeremy), Kerri Aumont, Jim Aumont, James Lueders (Stayce), Joseph Lueders (Amanda), Tracey Albert (Mikeal), Andy Sattler (Leah), Nicholas Sattler (Jessica), her great-grandchildren Grace, Kate, Daniel, Johnny, Ethan, Eva, Everett, Levi, David, Zoey, Josie, and soon to be Baby Lueders,  many beloved nieces and nephews and special friend Nancy Cox.

Carolyn was a hard worker and held many jobs during her lifetime including time spent at Consolidated Freight, California Bell Telephone, Goodyear, Basic Computer, and the Akron Art Museum. She also enjoyed owning a plant store in Fairlawn for a while.  Carolyn was a wonderful artist and also enjoyed making crafts and many beautiful wreaths for family and friends.  She also enjoyed her time living in England; Granada Hills, California;  Phoenix, Arizona; and Stuart, Florida. 

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service at this time.  A celebration of life will be held in August for family and friends.
