I have known Judy Newhall for many, many years. Our children attended the same elementary, junior high and high school. Judy and I would work on so many programs - room mother's, PTA, field trips, prom, etc. I always enjoyed working with her. She was warm, funny, friendly, generous, kind and so, so talented. We always loved working together.
I also knew Judy and her sister Sandy through family connections and considered them my closet friends.
My children had her as their art teacher and they loved her so much. All her students loved her. She put 200% into her teaching. She gave her personal time and money to her students. She herself was a very talented artist. Now, my grandchildren have received many art projects from Judy and they love her. When they say leave a footprint on someone's life that is so true for Judy. She has influenced so many generations with her warmth and talent. Many future artists will thank her for getting them started on the path to loving and enjoying art. She not only taught them art but love, kindness and respect for themselves and others.
I am just devastated that she has been taken from us so soon. I will always remember her smile, humor and feel her love. I miss her so much. I had the special opportunity to spend time with her the last few weeks she was with us and I will cherish those memories.
Rest in peace my sweet, wonderful friend.
