Obituary of Carol Ann Perkins
Carol Ann Perkins, 75, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Born in Akron on August 20, 1942, to Anna & Anthony Piporo, Carol was a lifelong area resident. After her mother’s death at a young age, Carol was raised by her father and mother Esther Piporo. She was a founding member of Nativity of Our Lord and later of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. A wonderful wife and mother, Carol found joy in her family and absolutely loved her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anna Piporo and father & mother Anthony and Esther Piporo. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Carl; children Michael (Debra), Dr. Kathleen Shoemaker (Steven), & Greg (Beth); brothers Rocco (Dee) Massiella, Anthony (Janet) Massiella, Carl (Becky) Piporo and Joseph Piporo; grandchildren Michael Jr, Olivia, Haley, Zachary, Lauren, & Sarah; dear friends Barb Burger, Edna Glinsky, & Cecile Schoonover; as well as many nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 24 from 5-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Home in Green, 4178 Massillon Road (on the corner of Massillon & Steese Roads, entrance off Steese). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM on Friday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Road in Green. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
