Obituary of Charles Milton Brennan

Charles M. Brennan, 84, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 13, 2018. Charles was born February 10, 1934 in Akron and was an Akron resident his entire life. He served in the US Army as a PFC in the Infantry. He was a dedicated and hardworking man. You could see the pride of his Irish Heritage in the twinkle of his blue eyes. Through all life's trials and tribulations he believed that a strong faith in the Lord will keep you on the path towards the Kingdom of Heaven. "May the wind be always at your back and may the sun shine warm upon your face and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand." He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Mary (Grove) Brennan; siblings William, George, Betty, Alberta, Kathleen, Orville and James; and grandson Justin Edward Brennan. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 64 years, Mary (Bennett) Brennan; children Edward (Maria) Brennan, Debbie Mason, Arlene (Frank) Parella, Darlene Musarra and Chuck Brennan; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday May 17, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30am at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron OH 44319. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
