Obituary of Janet K. Harland

CANTON - Janet Kay Harland (Johnson), 76, passed away May 10th, 2018 after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. Janet, born to the late Halley E. and Ruth M. Johnson, was a lifetime area resident. She was born in Hudson, lived in Stow, Uniontown, and Cuyahoga Falls, and spent over 40 years in Green. She worked several jobs while raising her children, including operating her own business; Jan's Food Service. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth "Kenny" Harland, and sister Judy E. Johnson, Janet is survived by her two sisters Dorthea "Dottie" Robinson and Hallie Reardon, and her five children, Ruth Casseday, Tom Harland, Loretta Harland, Christina Johnson, Ken Harland II, and two steps sons, Tim Harland and Bill Harland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, all of whom meant everything to her; Taylor, Krista, Kayla, Amanda, Kristen, Jordan, Noah, Matt, Jack, Diana, Erin, Rachel, Ryan, Philip, Micah, Hannah, Jacob, Brooklyn & Chloe, as well as many great-grandchildren. A funeral service will take place on Monday, 7pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. (at Rt. 241 & Steese Rd., entrance off Steese), where the family will receive friends prior to services from 5-7 pm. Interment will take place Tuesday, 10am, at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
