Obituary of Mary Ann Kelly

Mary Ann (Walker) Kelly, 88 passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. A lifetime Ohio resident, Mary Ann was born October 4, 1929 in Canton to John and Josephine Walker. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947 and then worked in the Billing Department of Mercy Hospital, where a co-worker introduced her son Patrick V. Kelly and future daughter-in-law, Mary Ann.

Mary Ann was a long-time parishioner of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. She volunteered for the parish meals program, the Samaritan Table and tutored students of its former elementary school. Mary Ann loved family gatherings and enjoyed reading, playing the piano and organ, pruning roses in her gardens and cheering for Cleveland sports teams.

Preceded in death by her brother, James Walker; Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Patrick of 63 years; seven children, Patrick (Debra), Kathleen Kelly-Calcei (Eugene), Kevin (Katherine), Timothy (Allyson), Thomas (Suzanne), Daniel (Wendy) and Theresa Ingram; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two great-grandchildren expected in 2018.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Green, Ohio. Graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Mary Ann’s name to local homeless and meal programs. (City of Green Chapel)
