Obituary of Sandi Lyn Richards

Our Sweet girl, Sandi, went into the loving arms of her father on April 23, 2018. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. Her infectious smile and laugh will always be remembered. She was courageous during her last Earthly days. Sandi found happiness in the simple things like country music, game shows, magazines & shopping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. She taught those who loved her to always see the person first. She would communicate with her eyes if her words were misunderstood. She is now at St. Peter's gate giving him double winks so he'll let her in. Sandi was preceded in death by her father William 'Art' Richards, grandma & grandpa Richards and Erickson, & Aunts Debbie & Jackie. She is survived by her mother Patrice Richards; sister Shari (Mark) Brustoski; brother Wm. 'Art' (Marcy); nieces & nephews Jakob, Nicole, Natalie, Molly, & Zach, as well as many aunts, uncles, & cousins who all loved her. A special thanks to the staff at the Keiner Home and at Echoing Ridge Residential Center who cared for her during her last days. She dearly loved her aunts Kris Wolke & Susan Marketos who spent countless hours with her while she was hospitalized. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral will take place on Friday at 11 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
