Obituary of Irene Marie Lazar

Irene M. Lazar, 98 passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 Groundhog Day in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Lazar was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Tallmadge. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cedric and Adella Sitosky; husband, John; son, John; 6 sisters; and 7 brothers. She is survived by her children, Joyce (John) Nieschwitz; Ron (Kathy) Lazar and Marlene (John) Petroff; daughter-in-law, Helen Lazar; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Fr. John Hengle officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
