Obituary of Scott Edward Denney

GREEN - Scott Edward Denney, 47, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 25, 2018. Scott was born March 18, 1970 to David and (Minnie) Denney, Sr. in Barberton and had been an area resident his entire life. He was a sales executive for ADP and a member of River Tree Church. There is so much more to say about the man that changed the lives of many. He was a kind, compassionate man who loved people. He was an absolutely amazing husband and father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and friend. Scott had an amazing ability to lead in the workplace, and make everyone around him laugh. He had the best sense of humor that could light up any room that he walked into. Scott had his priorities straight, God, then family, followed by work. He worked at each with all his heart. This amazing husband made all of his wife's and daughter's dreams come true. He always put other's needs before his very own. It is with great sadness this is written. He will be missed by all. Scott is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shelly (Funk); daughters Elizabeth and Rebecca; father David (Shirley) Denney, Sr.; mother Minnie (Bill) Whitmore; siblings David (Nicole) Denney, Jr. and Michelle (Paul) Fletcher; Jeff and Connie Funk ; brothers-in-law John (Meghan) and Rob (Lee) Funk; nieces and nephews Emily, Alex, David, Lilly, Vivian, Adam and Amelia Denney, Troy Fletcher, Gavin Funk and Nolan Funk. The family will receive friends Monday, January 29, 2018 from 3 to 7 pm at River Tree Church, 7373 PORTAGE ST. NW, MASSILLON, OHIO where a celebration of Scott's life will be held at 7:00 pm.
