Obituary of Eugen Daunhauer

Eugen Daunhauer, 94 passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born in Poland and retired from the McNeil Corporation. He was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a current member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mr. Daunhauer was also a member of the German-American Club, Freiheit, Liedertaffel and GBU. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing, camping and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Frances; and grandson, Walter, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Wiseman; sons, Walter (Cindy) and Ralph (Maryrose) Daunhauer; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. (Anthony, Akron)
