Obituary of Paul Josif
Paul E. Josif, 89, passed away January 24, 2018 after a brief illness.
Paul was born in Moulmein, Burma on February 23, 1928. He moved to Granville, OH in 1940 and was a graduate of Granville High School. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Second Marine Division Association, the Marine Corps League McKinley Detachment #277 in Canton, as well as the VFW & the Army-Navy League. He came to Akron in the late fifties and retired from Unocal after 38 years, where he worked as a truck driver. Paul was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and was a licensed pilot.
Preceded in death by parents George & Esther Josif, brother Harold, & sister Emily Bristah, Paul is survived by his sons George (Kristine) & Greg Josif & step-daughter Viola Lane; grandchildren Stacey (Sean) Buchan, Heather (John) Dunlap, & Jacob Josif; great-grandchildren Julie & Lena Dunlap & Ella Buchan; brother Donald Josif.
