Obituary of Sharon Jean Brooks

Sharon Jean Brooks, 63, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Akron. Sharon was born March 5, 1954 to the late Eugene & Jo Anne Sullivan, and was a life long area resident. She worked as the office manager for the Children's Medical Group for nearly 25 years. Sherrie was a quiet & observant woman, but she was a force to be reckoned with. She loved her family and lived life on her own terms. Sherrie's tough & feisty spirit made a difference in the lives of all those she loved. In addition to her parents, Sherrie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 22 years, James L. Brooks in 2013. She is survived by her children Rebecca (Michael) Lee, Jason Fleshman, James A. (Alyson) Brooks, & Shannon (Gordon) Wetmore; granddaughters Allison Lee, Kylie Brooks and Samantha Lee; Brother Gene (Linda) Sullivan; Aunt and Uncle Betty & Dick Conover; niece and nephews Amy (Mike) Marquardt, David (Stephanie) Patterson & Jason Moore. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14 from 1-4PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd., Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off Steese Rd.) Interment will take place 10:30AM Monday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sherrie's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
