Obituary of David Lee DiGirolamo

-CUYAHOGA FALLS David Lee DiGirolamo, 56, passed away Dec. 22, 2017. He was a beloved son, husband, & father. He cherished his wife Renata (Rego) and their two children Pamela & Nicholas. He was a much loved son of Vincent & Nancy DiGirolamo and brother to Annette (Michael) Marlow & Alan DiGirolamo. He was a beloved son to his wife's parents, Gilberto & Fernanda Rego and brother-in-law Marcelo (Rita) of Brazil. He was close to his nieces & nephews Sarah (Paul) Dougherty, Christopher DePaul, Anthony & Ana DiGirolamo, & Pietro & Maria Fernanda Rego. Dave grew up in Stow, where he graduated from Holy Family and Walsh Jesuit High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Akron. He signed up and served a tour of duty in the Ohio National Guard. Dave was employed by BASF, where he was Manager of Planning & Analysis, Admixture Systems. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls, where his children attended grade school. David was an athlete, played baseball & Basketball, learned tennis and became club champion, and took up golf, where he excelled. He loved to compete and be with his friends. He also passed his love of sports to his children. He helped coach his son's basketball & baseball teams through the years. He delighted in his children's accomplishments. Dave enjoyed home projects and working in the yard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. James Singler on Thursday, 6 pm, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends starting at 3 pm until the time of the service.
