Obituary of Donald Ruquet

Donald F. Ruquet passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2017 at the age of 84. Preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Joan; his parents; his sister, Gloria; his brothers, Eddie, Kenny and Herbie; he is survived by brothers, Tommy and Terry; loving father of Linda (Tony) Crookston and Jimmy (Shawn) Ruquet, grandfather of Conrad (Jen) Crookston, AJ (Stephanie) Crookston, Joan Crookston, Barbara (Jim) Schneider and Matthew Ruquet and great-grandfather of Conrad II, Gabe, Bear, Damon and Indy. Formerly of New York and Florida, Donald came to live in Clinton, Ohio with his daughter and her family in 2015. He grew up in the Bronx and was a partner in business for 50 years with his brother Eddie. He will be lovingly remembered by his many family and friends for his crafts and his stories of New York and fishing in Florida. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 750 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44311. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron 44301.
