Obituary of Amanda Beth Czarnecki

Amanda Beth Czarnecki, 43, died in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday, November 30, 2017, surrounded by loving family and friends. Her fight against cancer was valiant – and she tackled it with the grit, determination, sense of humor, and profound stubbornness with which she tackled a life that, while short, was full of happiness, travel, love and fulfillment. She spent the last 28 days of her life in the hospital, but was determined to get home, enjoy some craft beer (Budweiser, Miller or Coors products need not apply), and make the most awesome Thanksgiving dinner (her favorite holiday) for her husband, her sister and brother-in-law. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Clarke, of Nashua, New Hampshire (along with her "furry kids" Ham and Kubs); her parents John and Donna Czarnecki of Uniontown, Ohio, her sister Jennifer Czarnecki (for whom she was affectionately known as "Mand") and brother-in-law Ryan Harrell of Akron, Ohio; her "bestie" Lindsey (for whom she was affectionately known as "Panda"), aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and countless friends she made over the years, and her "family by choice" she and her husband made as New England transplants from Ohio and Michigan respectively. Amanda was beautiful – she had the most enviable skin and was a huge advocate of moisturizer. She was brilliant – she could speak Spanish fluently and knew many different dialects and could also speak Brazilian Portuguese. Amanda was a natural musician and picked up the flute, oboe and piccolo effortlessly. She had a beautiful voice, although she didn't sing in front of others very much. Amanda had a wicked sense of humor and a love for puns she shared with her father. Amanda was an excellent cook, having trained at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed entertaining, and was known as "Mama Bear" to her many friends for whom she made many wonderful meals. Amanda had a passion for travel and visited Belgium, France, England, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Mexico and the vast expanse of the United States. Amanda was an excellent driver and could drive a manual shift vehicle with the best of the best (her sister and mother learned from the same teacher but never could quite master the skill). In case the preceding paragraphs were not an adequate indication, Amanda had a passion for great beer and introduced and taught many of her friends all they knew about the subject, traveled far and wide to visit far-flung and exotic breweries, and was especially eager to generously share the spoils of her hobby with others. She helped many friends through very tough times in their lives. Amanda made her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Uniontown, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Chicago, Illinois; Buffalo, New York; Peabody, Massachusetts; Dover New Hampshire; and most recently, Nashua, New Hampshire. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd., Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off of Steese Rd.). A Memorial service will follow at 3 pm for family and friends (old and new) who live in the Midwest. All are welcome to share their memories of Amanda or pay their respects. A celebration of her life will also be held in New England at a later date.
