George Dimitrios Kotrotsos, 53, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. George was born in Athens, Greece, and came to Akron in 1970. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. George enjoyed yardwork and had a fondness for cutting down trees. He was a sweet, kind person who cared about everyone. George was a beloved son, brother and uncle, to whom family was the most important thing in life. George was preceded in death by his father Dimitri. He is survived by his mother Elaine; sister Sylvia (Mark) Douvikas; nephews James (Mariah) & Nick (Nikki Weaver) Douvikas; Aunt Mary Kallas; and cousins Jim (Jan) Kallas, Cindy (Steve) Toth & Sylvia (Ted) Paragios. Calling hours will be TODAY, Sunday November 26, from 2-4PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S Union St in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
