Obituary of Kathleen Prodon

Kathleen Ann Prodon (nee Zverloff), 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

A devout Catholic, Katie was an active member of St. Andrew the Apostle and also attended Perpetual Adoration St. Augustine for over 20 years. Katie was a kind soul who had a long list of people that she prayed for every day. She was always there to help anyone in need. Katie also enjoyed serving on the executive committee of the Republican Party of Summit County. She spent hours in her yard gardening and had beautiful flourishing flowers. She was a secretary for Dr. Quinn for 11 years, she did payroll for Burger Iron for 10 years, and worked for Jones Chemical for 20 years.

Katie was preceded in death by her siblings Victor, John, Mary, & Loretta. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Victoria Oliver, Rebecca Zickefoose, Carrie Schneider, Jack Lent II, John & Rosemary Zverloff and many great-nieces & nephews.

She was grateful for her caring neighbors and her dear friend Leona Miller.

The family will receive friends TOMORROW, November 26 from 4-7 PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron. Funeral services will begin with prayers Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Road, Norton, 44203. Interment at Holy Cross immediately following. Donations in Katie's memory may be made to Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, 572 W. Market St., Ste 2 , Akron, OH 44303 or have a mass said in her name.
