Obituary of John Charles Bogdan

John Charles Bogdan, age 63 passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. John was born June 28, 1954 in Canton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John Bogdan; and daughter, Andrea Ann Bogdan. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughters, Justine (Cristian) Zaharie and Melanie (Philip) Marken; grandsons, Mason and Aiden Zaharie; sister, Nancy (Tom) Holliday; and many nieces, nephews and family members. He was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church and St. George Romanian Orthodox Church throughout his life. John loved his family above all else and was a friend and mentor to many. His deep voice and infectious laugh, his quick wit and many stories will be deeply missed by all. John will always be remembered as a fighter and survivor. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, 144 30th St. NW Canton, Ohio 44709 where John will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to Presentation of Our Lord Church or to St. George Romanian Orthodox Church.
