Obituary of Walter George Bartoloevic

Walter Bartoloevic, 58, passed away on November 7th, 2017. He was raised in Akron, and a was graduate of Green High School in 1977. He had achieved 10 years of sober living, giving credit to his Christianity. He was a compassionate and kind man who gave of his time to others. He was active in R.A.M.A.R., Ignatia Hall, ADM and the REACH Program at IBH. He helped people in any way that he could, often driving others to meetings, helping with prescriptions, and daily chores. As a younger man he was an avid bowler and worked at many of the local bowling alleys including the Coliseum and Stonehedge. He also worked at Cardinal Environmental and briefly at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He enjoyed driving and working many hours on his Jeep, and was a Tampa Bay and Cleveland Browns football fan. He leaves many, many friends including his girlfriend and companion Diane Lininger, and friends of over 40 years, George (Tom) and Valerie Gillespie. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, George and Rose Bartoloevic in 1976, and 1993. A graveside service will take place on Friday, 12 pm, at Lakewood Cemetery on Waterloo Rd. in Akron.
