Obituary of Robert Frank Klingensmith

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Robert 'Bob' Klingensmith was born in Greensburgh, PA on June 18, 1938. He passed away at his home on October 31, 2017 after a brief illness. Bob graduated from Akron North High School where he met his wife, Rita. He served in the US Army and had a career in the commercial wallcovering industry in the Akron, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana areas. He was an active member at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was a charter member of IHM Knights of Columbus Council 13517. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Edward J. McFadden Assembly 2953. Bob was preceded in death by parents Frank and Helen, stepmother Cecelia, brother Bill, and in-laws Stan and Helen Sipka. He is survived by wife of 57 years, Rita. Children Mike (Laura) Klingensmith, Michele (Darrell) Twente, Georgianne (Kevin) Green, and Jill (John) Elseg. Grandchildren Alex, Kyle, Bryce, Meredith, Matthew, Jason, and Julianne, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3rd from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Avenue, (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 4th at 10 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. A celebration luncheon will follow immediately at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Community Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the honor of Robert Klingensmith to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
