You are my true hero. Every single thing about you, from the littlest things, like making me laugh consistently for nearly thirty years, often simply by sharing humbling stories ragging on yourself or teasing me, to the biggest things, like showing me a heightened form of respect my entire life, where never in my memory having ever treated me as anything less than your intellectual equal, has left an enormous imprint on me that can never be filled by anyone else. And I don’t want it to ever even be attempted to be filled by anyone else. Because you are and always have been the epitome of one of a kind, unique, special, and a rare treasure (I say at the cost of sounding trite and probably being teased right now by you somewhere in the universe). You are a most wonderful anomaly, THE most wonderful anomaly to me. I love you more than I probably ever had the chance to show, but I’m pretty positive you know that already and always have. You deserve rest, and throughout our literally countless discussions exploring our ideas of the afterlife, we always agreed that love permeates the universe, regardless of dimension of existence or even religion. I literally couldn’t have asked for a more perfect counterpart. Bleh, I’ll write more about you on Facebook, and all the other places I write, not just as a grieving exercise, but because I have so so so much to say and share about you. Because you are so special.
