Obituary of Paul J. Snyder
Paul J. Snyder, 91, went to his eternal home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
Paul was born in Everett, PA to the late Adam & Grace Snyder. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 35 years of service.
Paul cherished his family and he was dearly loved in return. A longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Green, Paul eagerly served in any way he could, developing many special friendships. He shared his many skills & talents with family & friends – meticulous in all he did. He also enjoyed working in his home, yard & garden, & traveling with his late wife Geneva to many destinations including a moving trip to the Holy Land.
Paul was caring, easy-going, patient, understanding & accepting and desired to lighten the hearts of others.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife Geneva; daughter Paula Snyder; brother Wilbert; sister Marietta Sands; daughter-in-law Polly Snyder; and step-granddaughter Candice Siers. He will be deeply missed by his son Tim (Karen) Snyder; stepson John (Barbara) Siers; step-grandchildren Dillon, Spencer, & Serena; step-great grandson Oliver; twin sister Pauline Smith; sisters Kathleen (Tom) Harclerode, Betty Jane (Donald) Baker; brother Marvin (Nancy) Snyder; many nieces & nephews; other relatives and friends.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care Paul received from the staff at Heritage Villas and Crossroads Hospice, as well as for the faithful visits & prayers from the Temple Baptist family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3 from 5-7 p.m. at Anthony Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road in Green (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads. Entrance is off of Steese). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd. in Green, Pastor Glenn E. Rogers, Jr. officiating. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd, Box 181, Green, OH 44232 or Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.
