Obituary of Gary Michael Schaeufele

Gary Schaeufele, 64, of Tallmadge, OH passed away peacefully on September 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He will be missed by his wife of over 41 years, Cathy, and son Matthew and his wife Melissa. He was proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Schaeufele, sisters Ruthann Schaeufele and Marianne Wise, and brother John Schaeufele. He leaves behind his brothers Dave (Rose) Schaeufele, Mark (Tina) Schaeufele, and Bob Schaeufele. Gary dearly loved being a father and an uncle. As a devoted family man, he hosted epic Thanksgiving dinners for many continuous decades creating happy memories. Throughout his life he enjoyed boating, traveling, and his sports cars. He earned his Master's degree in social work from The Ohio State University. Both his professional and community work was innovative and focused on the individual. He was a lifelong Buckeye fan and most enjoyed attending games with his son, Matthew. Rain or shine, they would cheer on their favorite team. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25, 2017 ay 11:30am in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (91 North Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278).
