Obituary of Maria J Jones

Maria (Mara) J. Jones, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Maria was born June 20, 1928 in Akron to the late Stanley & Viola Gligor. She was a feisty woman who enjoyed life and her independence. She was a member of the F.O.E #555, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the South Akron Orioles Nest 167. Maria spent many hours socializing with her many friends. She loved going to lunch with "the girls". She was a lifelong member of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church. In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her sisters Sandy Tusko, Melana Hadinger, and Mitzi Gligor; brother 'Bud' Stanley Gligor Jr; and three husbands, Danilo Tuczakov, Harold Carlisle and Lloyd Jones. She is survived by her children Dana (Greg) Miller, Stanley Tuczakov and Spencer (Debbie) Tuczakov.; grandchildren Deanna Harrison, Dustin Mosley and Abby Dengler; and seven great-grandchildren; niece, Paula Whetstone and nephew, Malin Tusko. The family would like to thank Altercare of Hartville and Senior Helpers for their dedication and service to Mara. We cannot begin to express our gratitude. Funeral services will be private. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Archangel Michael Building Fund, 2552 Pickle Road, Akron, OH 44312.
