Obituary of Margaret Goda

(Garnick)Margaret (Garnick) Goda, 93,loving mother and Baba passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. Born August 30,1923 in Daisytown PA to the late Andrew and Maria Garnick. She retired from the University of Akron with over 25 years but was very proud to say that she worked for Goodyear Tire during World War II on a secret project in the blimp (dirigible) hangar. Marge was a member of St Pauls Catholic Church in Akron. Religion was always very important in her life but family is what she lived for, and she cherished every minute with her husband John, the love of her life and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marge was preceded in death by her husband John, and her nine other siblings. She is survived by children Maria (Denny) Uhall, Claudia (Donnie) Freed & Jonathan Goda; sister - in law Florence Garnick; grandchildren Christopher, Nikki,Jessica,John,Amanda & Jamie; great grandchildren Mikayla,Megan,Cole,Brian, Tristan,Skylar,Madalynn,Gavin, and Josie; many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held Thursday, May 4 from 1-3 p.m at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
