Obituary of Raul Cisneros
Raul Cisneros, Jr. died peacefully in his sister's arms. He went to meet our heavenly Father on April 14, 2017.
Raul, Jr. loved a good laugh, sharing his smile and a large amount of orneriness with everyone who was lucky enough to cross his path. He was born November 26, 1953 to Raul Cisneros, Sr. and Rosa Paulita (Trevino) Cisneros in Brownsville, TX. He spent most of his life in Akron, OH and graduated from South High School. He joined the Navy and was proud to be a corpsman attached to the Beaufort Naval Hospital. Raul Jr. received Humanitarian Service Medals and Certificates of Appreciation for providing medical support in the Cuban refugee "Freedom Flotilla" during the period of May to June 17, 1980. A call from Washington D.C. came out for all bilingual medical personnel. He served proudly and had many stories.
In addition to his parents, Raul, Jr. was preceded in death by brothers Ruben and Ernesto Cisneros and sister Marie Irma Lucas. He is survived by his sister Lucilla Ledbetter-Fuller (Bob), Rosalinda Morris (Dave), Rosa Minerva Rainville and Linda Hahn (Jerry); brother George Cisneros; his best friend Patricia Harrington; many nieces and nephews. We will all miss him desperately until we meet again. We are grateful to everyone for the kind words and never ending support during this very difficult time.
Interment service with full Military Honors will held at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery on Thursday, April 20 at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye."
Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love. Lamentations 3:32
