Obituary of Richard James Berns

Richard J. Berns, 77 passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017. He was born in Cleveland and was a self-employed precious metals dealer. Mr. Berns was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling and going to Casinos. He was always ready for a game of blackjack. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph; and sister, Charlotte. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Faye; children, Richard (Diane) Berns, Brian Cromwell, Donald Berns, Denise Berns and Edward (Valerie) Berns; brothers, Maurice (Sieglinde) and Charles (Dee) Berns; grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Jillann, Alexa, Donny, Victoria, Ricky, Alexandra and Corey; great-grandchildren, Kylie and Brent; and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. Uniontown, Ohio 44685 where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. (City of Green Chapel)
