Obituary of Jerry A. Kennedy

Jerry A. Kennedy, 62 and born in Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Jerry always saw life with a sense of humor, fun and friendship. He was extremely dedicated to his job and family. Jerry was an avid golfer his entire life. From winning three state championships in high school, he went on to earn a full golf scholarship to Edinboro State College where he continued his love for golf. Aside from playing golf, Jerry also played basketball into his later years. Jerry was a diehard Browns fan and enjoyed attending games. An active father, Jerry coached his children’s’ sports teams and was proud of their military accomplishments. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonni O’Brien. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth; father and mother, Clarence (CK) and Dorothy; sons, Staff Sergeant Jared ( wife Meg) and Staff Sergeant Jake Kennedy both of the U.S. Army; daughter, Lance Corporal Marie Elana Kennedy of the U.S. Marine Corps.; and sister, Susan Kennedy (husband Richard Meese). Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 11, 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
