Obituary of Cynthia Ann Ahmed

Cindy A. Ahmed, 58, of Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, February 20, 2017 at her home. Cindy was born in Akron to Alexander and Jean Papp on December 9, 1958. Cindy graduated from Kenmore High School in 1977 and worked for Bank One for many years and then moving on to retire from Homesite Insurance. Cindy enjoyed cooking shows and cooking. She owned the largest collection of cookbooks. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; from dinners with old high school friends to enjoying and spoiling her three grandchildren. Cindy had a contagious laugh and a heart of gold. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Jean Papp; her special friend, Dave McCloud; and brother-in-law, Robert Rodriquez. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Kamlowsky and Daphne Bordas; brothers, Mike (Bobbie) and Bruce (Michelle) Papp; daughter, Tamara Ahmed; son, Adam (fiancée, Sharon Michael) Ahmed; three grandchildren, Tyvin and Aribella Ahmed and Kenzie Michael; special niece and nephew, Lily and Alex Kamlowsky; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and ex-husband, best friend and love of her life, Ali Ahmed. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. The family will receive friends Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the future education of Cindy’s grandchildren. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
