Obituary of Charles Matthew Popovich

-GREEN Charles M Popovich, 80, of Green OH, passed away February 13, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic. Charles was predeceased by his parents Mathew Popovich and Helen Popovich, and his beloved wife of 36 years, Patricia A. (Hornor) Popovich. He is survived by his loving daughter, Deborah DiGiulio and grandsons Nicolas and Christopher DiGiulio of Vancouver, Canada; his sister–in-law Barbara (Hornor) Trimmer (William), nephew Brandon (Angel) and great nephew Atreyu; sister-in-law Martha (Hornor) Smith; cousins; longtime friends Jim and Pat Mesko; Marilyn and Jack Augustus and children Kathy Darrah (Doug), Tom McCarl (Heather) and Michelle McCarl and their families. Charles taught 30 years in the Green Local School District and was an active member/officer of the Green Local Teachers Association. Chuck and Pat were fortunate to enjoy many adventures while travelling in the United States and around the world together and visiting friends and family. Chuck was the reluctant subject of many photos taken by the love of his life, best friend and wife Patty. She was the yin to his yang. They will continue their journey together. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Green Chapel 4178 Massillon Rd. (at S.R.241 and Steese Rd., entrance off of Steese), where a funeral service will be held immediately following at 7 pm. Interment will take place at the Masonic Cemetery in Weston, WV.
