Obituary of Marilyn Jane Krochta

Marilyn J. Krochta, 89, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2017 at Akron General Hospice Center, with family by her side. She was a loving and faithful wife for 46 years to Andy Krochta who preceded her in death. Marilyn was born July 11, 1927 and had resided in Norton for over 50 years. Prior to her death, Marilyn resided at Pleasant Pointe Assisted Living for the last 5 years due to dementia, where we want to thank the wonderful caring staff for giving Marilyn a comfortable place to call home. Her kind heart and easy going nature loomed through her smile. She retired from JC Penney and enjoyed casino bus trips. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sr. & Marian Boehme; Husband, Andy Krochta; brothers, Charles Jr. and Robert Boehme; sister, Edna Sassano; sister, Delores Gates; son-in-law, Andrew F. Koncz. She is survived by daughter, Kathy Koncz; sons, Thomas (Sandra) Krochta, Chuck (Claudia) Krochta; grandchildren, Andrew (Jackie) Koncz, Stacy (Nathan) Robinson, Laura (fiance Nick Weaver) Smelser, Nick Krochta, Alexandra Krochta, and Benjamin Krochta; great-grandchildren, Cayden Smelser, Paige Smelser, Andrew S. Koncz, Mason Koncz, Parker Robinson and Claire Robinson. A funeral will take place TODAY, 2pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
