Obituary of Loretta Margaret Vasuta

Loretta M. Vasuta, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after a brief illness. Loretta was born November 1, 1934 to Jacob and Barbara (Prem) Tomaz in Akron and had been an Akron resident her entire life. She was employed by Akron Public Schools for 30 years retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Firestone Park Prime Timers and Silver Sneakers. She enjoyed clogging, was an instructor at the YMCA and was involved in her community. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband George Thomas Vasuta in 1965. She is survived by her daughters Lorinda (Darren Lane) Vasuta and Kathleen (Tom Dickinson) Pryor, sister Emily Balca and brother Jacob Tomaz. The family will receive friends TODAY, Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30 am at the funeral home and 10:00am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron OH 44301. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
