Obituary of James Christopher Amacher
James Christopher Amacher, 95, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017.
He was born in Ridgway, Pennsylvania and retired from Schrader-Bellows in 1974 after 34 years of service. James enjoyed sports, especially college sports and loved music. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, was a Purple Heart recipient and was awarded 4 Bronze Stars.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Censie; and wife, Barbara. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steven Myers; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mary; grandchildren, Christie Ketler, Bethany Denison, Todd (Jackie) Fincher, Andrew Myers and Blake Amacher; and great-grandchildren, Haleigh and Kayla Ketler, Tyson and Bryce Denison and Declan and Owen Fincher.
