Obituary of Robert R. Keefer

Our beloved husband and father, Robert R. Keefer, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born on June 20, 1934 in Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Idella May Keefer. He married Wilma V. Felter on September 14, 1957. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by so many family and friends. Bob was a funny and humorous man that made a lot of people laugh. He was always clowning around. He played the guitar, harmonica and many more instruments. He was a great creator and provider. He always made things work. He attended the Evangel Temple and later, Springfield Assembly of God Church where he was a leader of the Royal Rangers. He went to the Akron Bible Institute, attended South Akron Pentecostal in 1953 and studied electronics. He served four years in the Air Force and received his GED while in the service. He worked for Borden Milk Company and Lawson’s Warehouse. Bob was also an animal lover. He had two children, Debbie Fultz and Brenda Riggle. Debbie (Frank) had three children, Heath and Heather (Twins) and Frankie. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Daniel K. Riggle; brothers, Harold, Virgil and Melvin; and sisters, Genevieve, Goldie and Dorothy. He is survived by his wife, Wilma; daughters, Debbie (Frank) and Brenda; grandchildren, Heath, Heather (Matt) Henry and Frankie (Heather); great-grandchildren, Camren, Madisen and Lacey Cadence; brother, Joseph; and sister, Dolly. A Memorial service will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Pastor Joseph Serbin officiating. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd.
