Obituary of Carl Anthony Tilenni

Carl A. Tilenni, 62, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after a two year battle with cancer. Carl was born March 27, 1953 to Sebastian and Eva (Varca) Tilenni in Akron. He was employed by UPS for 40 years, retiring in 2013. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Carl is survived by his wife of 36 happy years Gloria (Torok); children Louise (Sumin) Chacko and Vince (Megan), Jared (Shannon) and Steve Tilenni; grandchildren Levi Chacko and Vincent, Isabella and Adriana Tilenni. He is also survived by his parents and siblings April Marino and Frank (Chris) and Anthony (Linda) Tilenni. Carl was a quietly spiritual man with a kind heart who you could always count on. His family came first and as his children got older he became a friend in addition to being a great father. He was an outdoor sportsman with a passion for bird hunting and had an exceptional sense of humor. Carl was a friend to all and all were his friend. The family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 6 pm at the Anthony and Son Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds in Green, entrance off of Steese Rd.). Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 am at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron OH 44301.
