Obituary of Donald Earl Tisch

Donald Earl Tisch, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at his home. He was born in Akron, Ohio to John and Esther Tisch on October 13, 1926. He worked for A & P and Sparkle Markets for over 40 years and was a Cuyahoga Falls School Crossing Guard for 20 years. Mr. Tisch also bowled in the Falls Church League for over 40 years, was a Cub Scout Pack Leader of Pack 3162 for over 13 years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls for 60 years. He was also a member of the American Legion and was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and John Tisch; son, Danny Tisch; and brothers, Thomas, Jim and Buddy Tisch. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sylvia Tisch; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Craig Howdyshell, Ronda and Craig Tobin and Terri and Tony Caporaletti; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia Tisch, Brent Tisch and Lucky Tisch; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Linda Tisch; sister-in-law, Nelda Tisch; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 2253 3rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Rev. Debbie Saxe officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
