Susan,
Well, well, well, I guess this means you won't be hosting any more Kentucky Derby parties at the house. A quote from Coco Chanel comes to mind whenever I think about Susan, (In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.) Susan, you were different therefore you are irreplaceable. I will miss your wit and humor, your little fingers under the chin telling me to move along, I think that was an Italian expression that means to bugger off.
You have been a friend for many years and I will miss you more than you will ever know. I will miss your stories that only you could tell in a fashion that would make me want to hear more and more of them.
Olde girl, go in peace now, may you be in Heaven an hour or so before the devil knows you"re dead and take this little saying with you too,( May your feet never sweat, your neighbor give you ne're a treat. When flowers bloom, I hope you'll not sneeze, and may you always have someone to squeeze)
And I will wrap this up with a quote from Virginia Woolf, (Someone has to die in order that the rest of us should value life more.)
Susan, I have a refrigerator full of your favorite Pistachio ice cream, the good stuff, not the other kind that everybody else tried to bring you. Drop in anytime and we'll fill our bowls and touch spoons in a toast to good pistachio ice cream and conversation and friendship, miss you old friend, miss you.
