Obituary of Donald Nicholas Cammel
Donald N. Cammel, 84, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015.
He was born in Akron and retired from the Grocery Business after over 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Loyal Oak Church of Christ (GLO) and a retired member of the UFCW. He enjoyed his monthly breakfast group with the David Hill Gang, loved his family, was a proud and generous father and grandfather and was a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Mary (Suster) Cammel; and wife, Dolores. He is survived by his children, Becky (Ronald) Evans and Michael (Cynthia) Cammel; sister, Carole (Ned) Randall; grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler (Joanna) and Corey Cammel; and great-grandchild, Denning Cammel.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Rev. Kurt Wieser and Rev. John Beaty officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
