Obituary of John Michael Krieger

-CUYAHOGA FALLS J. Michael 'Mike' Krieger, 72, died peacefully at home, and went to be with his Lord, on September 15, 2015. He was the son of the late Frank and Kathryn Krieger and born to a family of seven siblings in Akron on February 14, 1943. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a graduate of Hudson High School. He married the love of his life, Jean, in 1963 and together they built a successful business and marriage of over 52 years. He was an entrepreneur with an innovative and creative mind who faced many challenges that he strived to overcome. Starting with the produce business when he was a teenager, he built Kriegers Health Foods Market along with his wife Jean, from a roadside stand on Graham Rd., into the thriving business it is today. He lived the American dream and was always grateful for the opportunities of this great country. He was an amazing and wonderful father and husband that always placed his family first and loved to spend time with them and especially teach his grandchildren new things. He was a pillar of strength who gave to the community and people of need. From giving produce to the nuns for their soup kitchen to helping his employees get through college, Mike was always there to help others any way he could. He had a great sense of humor. He had a passion for traveling and loved to take trips and explore new horizons. He will be greatly missed by his family and will forever remain in their hearts. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; his children Christina (Jon), David (Gina), and Susan (Barak); grandchildren Cheyenne, Casey, Samson, Steven, and Brianna; siblings Nancy, Frank (Dottie), Tom, Robert (Sheilah), and Patricia (Dave). In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by brothers Larry and Bill. The family will receive friends on Friday, 6-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave (at Third Street, one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jarred Orndorff on Saturday, 9:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Northampton Cemetery.
