Obituary of Theodore David Groza
CYPRESS, TEXAS - Theodore David Groza, Jr., 72, fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
He was born in Akron, Ohio and retired from the Pliant Corporation (formerly Goodyear). He was a member of the Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church in Fairlawn, Ohio and St. Joseph Antiochian Orthodox Church in Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore David, Sr. and Anna (Mangu) Groza. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Popa); sons, Scott (Jennifer) and Jason (Shala); brothers, Michael (Margaret) and Timothy; and grandsons, Lincoln and Lyndon.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the church where he will lie in state and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairlawn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church.
